In addition to caring for pregnant women, I have had extensive training in caring for common gynecological problems, and general ailments. For example, if you have symptoms of a urinary tract infection, whether you are pregnant or not, I can examine you, do the appropriate lab work, and prescribe the medication needed. Certified Nurse Midwives are Advanced Practice Nurses, and have prescriptive privileges. I can do your annual pap smear and physical exam, and any other physical exams required for your family. I can do well-baby care for the first year.
